Abbreviations / Terms:

(EEN)

(EEN) – denotes Embedded Electrical Network – which is a collection of networked electricity meters that serve a group of private properties & associated electricity customers, connected via a parent market electricity meter into the National Electricity Market.

(ENO)

(ENO) – denotes Embedded Network Operator – responsible for & authorised by the relevant Regulators to operate an Embedded Network with multiple electricity customers, and on sell electricity energy purchased as a National Electricity Market Customer as recorded by parent metering, to customers within that electrical installation.

Green-field

“Green-field” – refers to a empty site with no buildings & no metering present. As part of the new development a ‘fresh’ EEN is established with a new site parent meter.

Brown-field

“Brown-field” – refers to an existing site with existing metering within buildings & no (EEN) present. To establish a new (EEN) existing metering would need to be replaced.

Explanatory Notes: (regarding last 4 columns)

Note 1 - Supply & Install (EEN)

Note 1 – Supply & Install (EEN) – Indicates if the Embedded Electrical Network provider is able to organise for the supply & installation of all required metering equipment for an Embedded Network. All equipment is either ‘Outsourced’ to an external metering installer or provided by an ‘In-house’ team of installers.

Note 2 - Owner Operator (ENO)

Note 2 – Owner Operator (ENO) – Indicates if the company is authorised to administer & operate an Embedded Electrical Network.

Note 3 - Online Portal

Note 3 – Online Portal – Indicates if the company provides the facility for embedded network private customers to Login to their electricity account, edit their details, make payments, view last 12 months of electricity bills with access to 30-min interval data(csv file) & view graphs of their consumption (updated every 24hrs).

Note 4 - Contract Period

Note 4 – Contract Period – Indicates the length of contracts offered to prospective clients (Fixed Period only or Negotiable Period Contracts)
